Selah
This is an interesting term in the Bible. Oddly enough it is one of few words that when the translators, in all the English translations I have seen, still keep the word. It is found quite often in the Psalms and it is probably a musical term for a “rest”, but it essentially means “stop and listen”.
This next week I am going to do that. The family and I will be on vacation for the first “real” vacation in sometime. I am leaving my computer at the church and turning my phone off. Yes that is correct, I am unplugging for the whole week. I will not be answering the phone or checking my email, facebook, or myspace, nor will I be posting any blogs.
I hope to get away, get a break and spend some quality time playing at the beach with Melody and Lisa. I hope you can find time to do something similar. Also, if it wouldn’t be too much pray that we can get re-charged and ready to come back and lead effectively at CKC.
